Also there are certain things that should be paid attention to. If one refinance before 2 years of bankruptcy the person is held responsible for payment of the unsecured debt. So its advantage to refinance after 2 years since you can ask your lender to refinance your filed bankruptcy, unsecured debt and new debt. Often FICO score is considered while refinancing after bankruptcy by the lenders.
If one is able to get a lower interest rate by refinancing and cash out at closing, refinancing can save you a lot of money.
